Hi, my name is James Brittain and I'm a 22 year old musician and producer. I have just graduated from University after studying a BSc in Music Technology and Production in London. I'm not going to give you my whole life story but in short; after growing up around a fairly musical family, I began making 'beats' when I was 13 which then spiralled into the beginning of my songwriting which took place when I left school and went to college. I honestly began my music career with the mindset of sticking to one genre, despite having such a wide variety of music taste. This didn't last long as I now love stepping out my comfort zone and experimenting with my music further. I began releasing music under the name Primez in 2017.

Up until the end of 2019, most of my released music was much more rap sounding, however, since then my music now has much more of an alternative/indie rap sound. Most of my music under Primez is mixed by myself and co-mixed by a fellow friend and musician. I have always had a variety across my music with some of it being fully produced by myself, and some of it being produced by others. I have recently also began to push myself to record more acoustic instruments which has allowed me to experiment with my music even more.
